Health and well-being in the workplace always a priority at Laborplast

World No Tobacco Day is an annual event celebrated every May 31, aiming to encourage people to abstain from tobacco use for at least 24 hours and to quit smoking permanently.

For Laborplast, this year will also be an opportunity to reflect on the importance of a healthy and safe work environment. Indeed, the well-being of workers is an absolute priority at Laborplast, demonstrated by its membership in the WHP (Workplace Health Promotion) network, the “Workplaces that Promote Health - WHP Lombardy Network” program based on the model promoted by the WHO, which aims to promote organizational changes in workplaces to encourage the dissemination and adoption of healthy lifestyles, contributing to the prevention of chronic diseases.

Laborplast has decided to support one of the key points of WHP's commitment, namely the fight against smoking, by introducing a new policy that will gradually ban smoking in all external areas of the company, extending the existing ban inside the buildings.

The policy adopted by Laborplast also includes an absolute ban on the use, possession, distribution, and sale of alcohol and drugs on company premises, as well as the consumption of alcohol before the start of work or during breaks, ensuring a safe work environment free from the risks these behaviors might cause. A small step to promote a smoke-free future and to celebrate the commitment to the health and safety of all employees and collaborators.
